摘要： The COVID-19 outbreak has been declared the sixth Public Health Emergency of International Concern certified by the World Health Organization. With the extensive application of COVID-19 vaccines, rare but serious adverse reactions have gradually emerged, among which systemic capillary leak syndrome (SCLS) deserves our attention. SCLS is difficult to diagnose. Not only can it exacerbate various diseases, but also can lead to pulmonary edema, kidney failure, and even death. We summarized and discussed case reports of SCLS induced by COVID-19 vaccines to raise awareness of COVID-19 vaccine-associated rare diseases. We conducted a comprehensive search in Web of Science, PubMed and Embase and collected case reports of SCLS induced by COVID-19 vaccine before February 19, 2024. We identified and analyzed 12 articles, encompassing 15 cases. We synthesized the data to summerize possible mechanisms of SCLS, clinical manifestations, differential diagnoses, and therapeutic approaches. Most SCLS occurred after vaccination with the Pfe-Biontech mRNA vaccine (9/15) and following the second vaccination (10/15). Almost all patients experienced hypotension (13/15) and tachycardia (11/15). Most patients received intravenous fluids (9/15) and corticosteroids (9/15). 11 patients were recovered and were discharged, while 4 patients died. Inflammation and endothelial cell damage may be linked to SCLS and COVID-19 vaccines. These findings highlight the necessity of focusing on serious adverse reactions of COVID-19 vaccines and the urgency to reconsider the safety of COVID-19 vaccines.

摘要： The goal of this study was to examine and address critical knowledge gaps and develop an understanding of both the positive and negative societal outcomes resulting from the public health measures associated with the COVID-19 pandemic in Nunavut and the interventions being undertaken to promote positive well-being. Data collection for this study included narrative, in-person interviews in Iqaluit, Rankin Inlet, Baker Lake, and Cambridge Bay between September 2022 and January 2023. A total of 70 participants were interviewed for this study. Community highlighted challenges, such as crowding and food insecurity, and concern for the collective wellbeing of the community. Strengths included financials supports, food sharing, and maintaining community connections over a distance. Recommendations included a focus on holistic health such as 1) public education and awareness about communicable disease, 2) financial supports, 3) housing, 4) access to healthcare, 5) focus on Inuit Qaujimajatuqangit, 6) mental-health and addiction supports, and 7) community spaces. Community members described both strengths and challenges they believe impacted their experiences and service delivery as well as recommendations for the future.

摘要： Globally, COVID-19 had an immense impact on mental health systems, but research on how community mental health (CMH) systems and services contributed to the pandemic mental health response is limited. We conducted a systematic review and meta-ethnography to understand the roles of CMH services, determinants of the quality of CMH care, and dynamics within CMH systems during COVID-19. We searched and screened across five databases and appraised study quality using the CASP tool, which yielded 27 qualitative studies. Our meta-ethnographic process used Noblit and Hare's approach for synthesizing findings and applying interpretive analysis to original research. This identified several key themes. Firstly, CMH systems played the valuable pandemic role of safety nets and networks for the broader mental health ecosystem, while CMH service providers offered a continuous relationship of trust to service users amidst pandemic disruptions. Secondly, we found that the determinants of quality CMH care during COVID-19 included resourcing and capacity, connections across service providers, customized care options, ease of access, and human connection. Finally, we observed that power dynamics across the CMH landscape disproportionately excluded marginalized groups from mainstream CMH systems and services. Our findings suggest that while the pandemic role of CMH was clear, effectiveness was driven by the efforts of individual service providers to meet demand and service users' needs. To reprise its pandemic role in the future, a concerted effort is needed to make CMH systems a valuable part of countries' disaster mental health response and to invest in quality care, particularly for marginalized groups.

摘要： The COVID-19 booster dose is considered an important adjunct for the control of the COVID-19 pandemic due to reports of reduced immunity in fully vaccinated individuals. The aims of this study were to assess healthcare workers' intention to receive the booster dose of COVID-19 vaccine and to identify predictive factors among healthcare workers. A cross-sectional study was conducted among healthcare workers selected in two provinces, Kasai Oriental, and Haut-Lomami. Data were collected using a questionnaire administered through structured face-to-face interviews, with respondents using a pre-tested questionnaire set up on the Open Data Kit (ODK Collect). All data were analyzed using SPSS v26.0 (IBM Corporation, Armonk, NY, USA). Vaccination coverage for COVID-19, considering declarations by health workers, is around 85.9% for the province of Kasai Oriental and 85.8% for Haut-Lomami. A total of 975 responses were collected, 71.4% of health workers at Kasai Oriental and 66.4% from Haut-Lomami declared a definite willingness to receive a COVID-19 vaccine booster. The duration of protection was the main reason for accepting a booster COVID-19 dose for 64.6% of the respondents. Logistic regression analysis showed that having chronic diseases (aOR = 2.95 [1.65-5.28]), having already received one of the COVID-19 vaccines (aOR = 2.72 [1.43-5. 19]); the belief that only high-risk individuals, such as healthcare professionals and elderly people suffering from other illnesses, needed a booster dose (aOR = 1.75 [1.10-2.81]). Considering the burden of COVID-19, a high acceptance rate for booster doses could be essential to control the pandemic. Our results are novel and could help policymakers design and implement specific COVID-19 vaccination programs to reduce reluctance to seek booster vaccination.

摘要： BackgroundCOVID-19 profoundly and uniquely impacted people with HIV. People with HIV experienced significant psychosocial and socioeconomic impacts, yet a limited amount of research has explored potential differences across gender and racial/ethnic groups of people with *** objective of this study was to examine psychosocial and socioeconomic stressors related to the COVID-19 pandemic among a diverse sample of people with HIV in South Florida and to determine if the types of stressors varied across gender and racial/ethnic *** analyzed data from a cross-sectional survey with Miami-Dade County, Ryan White Program recipients. Outcomes included mental health, socioeconomic, drug/alcohol, and care responsibility/social support changes. Weighted descriptive analyses provided an overview of stressors by gender and racial/ethnic group and logistic regressions estimated associations between demographics and *** 291 participants, 39% were Non-Hispanic Black, 18% were Haitian, and 43% were Hispanic. Adjusting for age, sex, language, and foreign-born status, Hispanics were more likely to report several worsened mental health (i.e. increased loneliness, anxiety) and socioeconomic stressors (i.e. decreased income). Spanish speakers were more likely to report not getting the social support they needed. Women were more likely to report spending more time caring for *** highlight ways in which cultural and gender expectations impacted experiences across people with HIV and suggest strategies to inform interventions and resources during lingering and future public health emergencies. Results suggest that public health emergencies have different impacts on different communities. Without acknowledging and responding to differences, we risk losing strides towards progress in health equity.

摘要： With the widespread vaccination of COVID-19 vaccine, a few cases have been reported that COVID-19 vaccine may cause endocrine disorders. A 59-y-old man presented with a loss of appetite after the first COVID-19 vaccination, which resolved spontaneously after 3 d. After the second COVID-19 vaccination, the symptoms including the loss of appetite, nausea, and vomiting reappeared and worsened along with loss of vision. He was found to have severe hyponatremia, and further investigations revealed secondary adrenal insufficiency, secondary hypothyroidism and Rathke's cleft cyst. The patient responded well to glucocorticoid and levothyroxine supplementation, and at 1-y follow-up the patient developed hypogonadism. We hypothesize that hypophysitis is probably induced by COVID-19 vaccine and report the rare but serious adverse reactions for early recognition and intervention.

摘要： The COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated acceptance of learning from other countries, especially for high-income countries to learn from low- and middle-income countries, a practice known as global learning. COVID-19's rapid disease transmission underscored how connected the globe is as well as revealed stark health inequities which facilitated looking outside of one's borders for solutions. The Global Learning for Health Equity (GL4HE) Network, supported by Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, held a 3-part webinar series in December 2021 to understand the current state of global learning and explore how global learning can advance health equity in the post-COVID-19 era. This paper reflects on these cutting-edge discussions about the current state of global learning, drawing upon the highlights, perspectives, and conclusions that emerged from these webinars. The paper also comments on best practices for global learning, including adapting for context, addressing biases, funding considerations, ensuring bidirectional partnerships, community engagement, and adopting a multidisciplinary approach.

摘要： Background: Research on the implications of the COVID-19 pandemic and its impact on well-being among children with disabilities is scarce. Studies in children and adolescents that have problems with hearing or listening, a possibly particularly vulnerable group during the pandemic, are largely ***: We investigated well-being, stress experiences, and self-efficacy among children who are deaf or hard of hearing (D/HH) or with auditory processing disorder (APD) during the COVID-19 ***: A total of N = 90 children who are D/HH or with APD (47% girls, Mage = 14.95, SD = 2.02) from a special needs school completed self-reports. Data were assessed in Germany in May ***: Over half the children (52%) reported low well-being. Well-being correlated negatively with stress (perceived stress and stressor occurrence, both for the three different domains: general everyday stressors, pandemic-specific stressors, hearing-specific stressors, r = -.27 to -.56) and positively with self-efficacy (r = .42). Regression analyses confirmed the positive association between well-being and self-efficacy (beta = .37/.30). Regarding stress, perceived stress for pandemic-specific stressors (e.g. homeschooling, crowds, beta = -.35) and a stronger occurrence of everyday stressors (e.g. gossiping, parents having no time, beta = -.45) were relevant for lower ***: Especially everyday and pandemic-related stressors should be taken seriously. Self-efficacy should be strenghtened as a resource.

摘要： The aim of the present study is to compare the cognitive function and physical performance of young adults who have experienced the COVID-19 infection with those who have not. Twenty-one participants who had experienced the COVID-19 infection and 21 non-COVID controls underwent a cognitive assessment (Digit Span Forward Test: DSF, and Stroop Colour and Word Test: SCWT) and physical performance test (six-minute walk test: 6MWT). The participants in the COVID-19 group tended to have lower cognitive and physical performance than those in the control group. However, the difference was not statistically significant (DSF: p = 0.59, SCWT- Word: p = 0.18, SCWT- Color: p = 0.73, SCWT-Colour - Word t: p = 0.14, and 6MWT: p = 0.54). The cognitive function and physical performance in post-COVID-19 young adults tended to be lower than non-COVID-19 participants but failed to reach statistical significance. Further studies, particularly involving large sample sizes, are required to confirm the effect of COVID-19 in young adults.
